✅ For Users: Set Up Email Forwarding from Gmail

Step-by-Step:

  1. Login to Gmail

  2. Go to Settings

    • Click the gear icon ⚙️ → See all settings

  3. Navigate to the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab

  4. Click “Add a forwarding address”

    • Enter the email address you want to forward to

    • Click Next > Proceed > OK

  5. Verify the forwarding address

    • A verification email will be sent to the destination address

    • Click the verification link in that email

  6. Choose how to forward

    • After verifying, go back to Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP

    • Select:

      • Forward a copy of incoming mail to

      • And choose what Gmail should do with the original (keep, archive, delete)

  7. Click “Save Changes”

🔐 For Admins: Set Up Email Forwarding for Users (Google Admin Console)

  1. Login to https://admin.google.com

  2. Go to: Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > User Settings

  3. Select the organizational unit (OU) the user belongs to

  4. Under Routing, click Configure (or edit existing rule)

  5. Set up routing or recipient address mapping, such as:

    • Add a destination address

    • Specify whether to keep a copy in the user’s inbox

⚠️ This method is limited to admin routing rules and doesn’t appear in the user's Gmail UI.
